No matter the professional level - barista, sommelier or just a foodie - they all need or want a wide range of sensory skill. Our taste and smell can be trained the same way as we train our muscles, just practice and practice. However, it can help to have appropriet tools.
This course offers you to test and train your taste pallate under the guidance of a skilled barista. You will learn how to do cupping (the way of tasting coffee), how to describe coffee and what descriptors to use. And to expand your sensory range, you will try some exotic tropical fruits, which most of us from Central Europe never encountered before.
This course includes:
— tasting various exotic and local fruits
— tasting various coffees from different origins and processings (cupping)
— exploring the most subtle taste abilities through cupping different waters
— testing your coffee sensory skill tasting based on the Cup tasters competition
The workshop starts at 1 pm and ends by 4 pm at mazelab.coffee (Prague 6 - Dejvice). Available in Czech and English.
The maximum number of participants is 6.
