Kagunyu

Kagunyu PB is a washed SL28 and SL34 peaberry from Kenya. It is juicy and bright, with berries, red currant, and blackberry. This is one of the coffees we roast and pour in our own Mazelab shops. I always buy more than we can get through, so I share the extra as green. Write to me for what is in stock and a sample.

Kagunyu is one of three washing stations run by the Rumukia Farmers Cooperative, a small society of just under 1,200 members near Karatina in Nyeri that has milled coffee since 1979. Most members tend only a few hundred SL28 and SL34 trees each, and the station finishes its coffee with an extra clean water soak that adds clarity to the cup.
