Kamavindi AA/AB is a washed SL28 and SL34 blend from Kenya, grown at Kamavindi Estate. It is bright and structured, with red currant, blackberry, rosehip, and raw sugar. This is one of the coffees we roast and pour in our own Mazelab shops. I always buy more than we can get through, so I share the extra as green. Write to me for what is in stock and a sample.
Kamavindi Estate was planted in 1958 by John Njiru Mbature, who started with the hundred trees colonial law then allowed and expanded once the restrictions lifted. Today his son Peter Mbature farms it alongside his mother Hellen and sister Gladwell, steadily replanting toward pure SL28 and sharing training with smallholders in the surrounding village of Kibugo.
